Loch Katrine (Benvenue in the distance) Drawn and engraved by FJ Sargent. The landscape inspired Sir Walter Scott to write 'The Lady of the Lake'; a historical narrative in verse set in and around the Loch. When the poem was published in 1810; it sold over 20;000 copies and attracted tourists to see the landscape he described.
