The legend of Sugiyama Kenko, a blind man, mastered the skill of acupuncture after praying to the deity, Benzaiten. It is said that many who were blind visited this shore town to acquire a skill. On the Daigiri Bridge, across the Sakai River, are sightseers on their way to the island of Enoshima. Far off on in the middle of the mountain is the view of Yugyoji Temple (Shojoko-ji).
