Technicians attaching mission decals to the Peregrine lunar lander, or Peregrine Mission 1, at Astrotech Space Operations Facility, Florida, USA. The lander was launched on the 8th of January 2024, as part of NASAs Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) programme. The objective was for Peregrine to land on the Moon, gather data on its atmosphere, and test advanced solar arrays (collections of solar panels). A propellant leak meant that the lander was never able to reach the Moon, and was instead commanded to self-destruct on the 18th of January 2024. Photographed on the 14th of November 2023.
