Mount Roraima, also known as Roraima tepui, Mount Roraima Roraima or just with 2810 meters, is the highest plateaus chain tepuis (table mountains) saw Pacaraima point in South America. First described by the English explorer Sir Walter Raleigh in 1596, its 31 km簡 area at the top are divided between Venezuela (85%), Guyana (10% of the territory claimed by Venezuela) and Brazil (5%) 1 with cliffs 400 meters high on all sides. Mount Roraima is in the Guiana Shield in the southeastern corner of Venezuela's Canaima National Park (30 000 km簡), the highest mountain range Guayana Highlands peak. The tops of the mesas of the park are considered some of the oldest geological formations on Earth, dating back to about two billion years in the Precambrian. In the tepui are the highest of Guyana, the territory of Essequibo, and the Brazilian state of Roraima point. The highest point of the mountain is "The Maverick" 2810 m, on the southern edge of the plateau and wholly within Venezuela. Roraima is the habitation of the most poisonous moths of the world, these moths are endangered and Venezuela makes it possible to increase their populations.
