Coils of red incense hang from the ceiling of the Quan Cong Temple, a Chinese temple dating to 1653 in Hoi An, Quang Nam Province. Hoi An is a historic town on the Thu Bon River and was one of South Asia's most important international ports in the 16th and 17th century; the old quarter with its distinctive architecture is now a UNESCO Heritage site and a popular stop for tourists.
