Patabendi Don Nandasiri Wijeweera (Sinhala:銃毯陽銃嗣?銃喪? 銃能?銃晤? 銃晤雇鈮??雄鈮???銃韶? 鈮??鈮閒鈮???鈮飩) or Rohana Wijeweera (14 July 1943 ??13 November 1989) was a Sri Lankan Marxist politician, rebel and the founding leader of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna. Wijeweera led the party in two unsuccessful insurrections in Sri Lanka, in 1971 and 1987 to 1989.

Wijeweera was born on 14 July 1943 to Patabendi Don Andris Wijeweera and Nasi Nona Wickramakalutota who lived in Kottegoda a coastal fishing village situated in southern Sri Lanka and belonged to the Karava caste hierarchy. His father was an active member of the Ceylon Communist Party (pro-Soviet wing) and very close to Dr. S. A. Wickramasinghe.

On November the 13th 1989 Rohana Wijeweera was shot dead. To this day Wijeweera's death is a subject of mystery and intrigue.
