Hormographiella occasionally causes pulmonary infections in immunocompromised patients, endocarditis following valve replacement, or eye and skin infections. The image shows its characteristic morphology with septate hyphae (at bottom), broad based septate conidiophore (centre). On the conidiophore apex or along the sides are fertile points, along which short breaking at their septa hyphae are produced forming cluster of rectangular arthroconidia.
