New Church Named in Honour of Pope. The newly consecrated church of St. Engenio, inaugurated by Pope Puis XII, in whose honour it is named. Constructed from funds donated by Catholics throughout the world, the church has 11 altars and six chapels. The Pope made one of his rare appearances outside the Vatican to say a special mass at St. Engenio's. June 3, 1951.
