The last time Phil and Rosetta Davenport travelled from Australia to London it took them just a few days - rather boring days. This time it took them nine months - every hour a thriller. The "few days" trip was by air when Phil, 33, was a pilot, Rosetta, 26, an air hostess. The journey that ended yesterday in the Pool of London was made in a tiny 46ft. yacht, Waltzing Matilda. A year ago Phil gave up flying, married Rosetta, and bought the boat. "As soon as I met planned," I knew I'd found a mate for the trip I'd always planned," he said as he sat on deck with her after they anchored in the Thomas yesterday. His brother Keith, 28, and friend, Don Brown, 27, signed as crew and the four set sail for England. September 03, 1951.
