The Camargue - located south of Arles, France, between the Mediterranean Sea and the two arms of the Rh??e delta - is one of Europe's last wilderness areas. It is also western Europe's largest river delta. Its many brine lagoons, sandbars and reed-covered marshes are a natural haven to wildlife, including Camargue cattle, seen here.
