Hidradenoma in a 60 year old man. Hidradenoma is a relatively rare type of benign (non-cancerous) tumour originating from sweat glands. They can be of apocrine or eccrine gland origin. They may appear as a solitary nodule or a cyst, and can occur on any cutaneous site, although more commonly on the head and upper body. Hidradenoma may be solid or produce a watery discharge. Complete surgical excision is curative.
