Angelo Maria RIPELLINO (4 December 1923 - 21 April 1978) Italian literary; translator and poet; particularly close to the Slavic literati who had translated for Italian editions and who had influenced his literary production. Many of his travels in Eastern Europe; since the post-war years when he married a Czechoslovak scholar; Ela Hlochova to whom he remained attached throughout his life; sharing studies and work; in the 1950s during a trip a USSR met Boris Pasternak and Evgenij Evtu拧enko; he edited numerous translations for Einaudi and collaborated with Rai Radio Tre. In 1968 he was the correspondent for "L'Espresso" as a reporter for the Prague Spring. The sixties and seventies were the most intense for his poetic-literary production.
