Tuscany; Gaiole in Chianti; Castello di Brolio; castle museum: original letter of December 1866 in French language; written by Otto von Bismarck (later on called "iron Chancellor"); to Italian prime minister Baron Bettino Ricasoli (1809 - 1880); later on called "iron Baron"; Bettino Ricasoli was second prime minister of Kingdom of Italy from 12 of June 1861 to 3rd of March 1862 and again 20th of June 1866 to 10th of April 1867. Major parts of the castle museum (four rooms) are dedicated to his life. As well; there are the King`s Room; built for the visit of Italian King Vittorio Emanuelle II (Victor Emmanuel II); but never used; and the armory. Domicil of the noble Florentine family Ricasoli since 1141; Castello di Brolio (Brolio Castle) was rebuilt from 1835 onwards; by Baron Bettino Ricasoli (1809 - 1880) and architect Pietro Marchetti in Tudor style.
